Salad Days at Webster Farm Organic

You have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of salad ingredients grown organically and locally, delivered fresh weekly, that will entice you to participate with us in the adventure of Community Supported Agriculture.

Webster Farm Organic is an 80 acre farm with five acres in vegetable production and the balance in woodland, meadow, creeks, and wetland. We use the least invasive and disruptive practices, rainwater collection systems, passive solar, and habitat preservation so that we have natural balance fertility, pest and disease control. We have no farm animals and use no animal products in the fields. Our goal is long term health of the soil and environment while producing highly nutritious food for committed households.

We are people of the earth, deeply committed to the restoration of the ecosystem and to the production of healthy food. For us, Community Supported Agriculture is an experience that allows us to meet the people who eat the food we are so proud to grow, and for you to know the land from which it comes. When you become a member of Webster Farm Organics, you are invited to connect to the land, the season, the process, and the harvests of that year through Salad Days, our twenty week delivery of fresh organic produce.

We are also committed to fun, creativity, and enjoyment of the natural world, wonders we like to share. We hope from this experience that we all find the way to sustainable living.

On Salad Days, you will encounter great variety and flavors in our freshly picked produce and lots of ideas for simple preparation. We grow heirloom vegetables, hundreds of varieties of them, to give moderate amounts each week of many selections, awakening your senses and pleasing your palate.

We have sized our weekly bags of produce more for fresh eating than cooking and storage. One to two adults who eat fresh food can easily use an entire bag each week.  We have a packing form on our Sign Up page that allows you to customize, to the extent the season allows, so you receive more of what you know you like, but still get to try foods which are new or challenging to you.  Seeing us each week you can let us know more about your household preferences.  Of course, we also like to surprise and delight you.
